The latest series of Odyssey events, The Survivor, arrived in April and May with the first event taking place in Withernsea.  The regional and national coverage of the event and Yorkshire Coast has so far reached a total of 21 pieces of press coverage for the Yorkshire Coast, including eight pieces of the broadcast (regional and national) which was a great secondary opportunity for showing the diversity of the Yorkshire Coast and the area as a whole.

The story of The Survivor was based on a person being displaced in conflict from The Trojan Wars and their acceptance and help from the community when they were washed up on the shores of new land.  This poignant story has been recognised further in light of current world news and The Survivor will now be travelling to London in August – more details to follow.

If you were not able to see The Survivor, you can watch a short round-up video of the activities that took place on each of the days.
