OUR PARTNER
A local group of volunteers have come together with an ambitious plan bring the culture and community together by promoting equality, diversity, while positively communicating why discrimination on the grounds of sexual orientation and gender identity of those living in and Scarborough, should not be accepted.
The calendar of events and activities they are creating and already delivering, will continue to grow over the course of the year, and we are proud to be able to provide funding for this and the event, alongside other partners, for this to take place.
FUNDING INFORMATION
More than a standalone event, the volunteers behind Scarborough PRIDE are going to create a series of events and celebrations throughout 2023, which will include a parade through town to the Spa complex. The event itself will feature an array of entertainment across the main stage in the Grand Hall and a family stage in the Sun Court.
Walks and Talks will take place throughout the year with other co-ordinated activities, providing the community an opportunity to engage and build relationships.
Other developments will include, a Youth Board, Social event for older and isolated members of the Scarborough’s LGBTQ+ community to beat loneliness and improve mental health

BUSINESSES
Pride events are known to draw large audiences in coastal areas and we want to create an identity for Scarborough as a friendly place for the LGBTQIA+ to visit.
You can participate in a number of ways from becoming ‘Business Allies’ or simply helping to promote the events showing their support to the LGBTQIA+ community.
Events are taking place in a number of locations around the town and surrounding villages
COMMUNITY
An open and inclusive opportunity for the LGBTQ+ community to come together for help, support and develop new ideas and friends.
Supporting our community for the growing LGBTQIA+ population will help to create an environment where people will want to live
