Friends of Hunmanby Railway Station

The Friends of Hunmanby Railway Station is an active community group keen to promote travel by rail and support their local area with various trails to help people get the most out of their journey experience.

They have produced a short guide to the unique Railway Tile Maps that were originally produced 110 years ago by the North Eastern Railway. Half of these maps are still complete with many still in their original locations. They are works of art in themselves and are popular attractions, particularly to railway enthusiasts.

The volunteers originally produced this trail at their own cost and it proved very popular. They approached the BID for funding to get it reprinted and more widely distributed to help raise awareness for these unique railway features and encourage more people to explore these coastal locations.

Total investment for printing 20k leaflets: £764
