HORNSEA CHRISTMAS LIGHTS

In 2021 we started to work with the Hornsea Chamber of Trade to expand and replace all of the Christmas lighting throughout the town.  Every year we have provided more funding as it was a fantastic way to highlight the quaint town as a winter shopping destination with the Freeport on its doorstep.

Simon Tudor, President of the Chamber of Trade and Manger of Hornsea Freeport first approached us following the lack of lighting upgrade in 2020 and the detrimental effect it had on trade within the town.  Only with the support of funding from Yorkshire Coast BID has the upgrade and replacement scheme been made possible, which also saw the return of the popular light switch on event in the town.  Simon expressed his thanks to the board saying, it would not have been possible without the area having a business improvement district and its local business members.
