The BID board of directors review all applications for funding every quarter; below is an outline of that process:

1. Request application guidance: Email e.stephenson@yorkshirecoastbid.com for a copy, so you know what is required should you be successful

2. Complete the application form

3. No applications will be submitted to the board unless there is a detailed marketing and financial plan

4. All applicants should ensure that a good proportion of businesses have been engaged with and are willing to be noted as in support of the application.

5. All applicants applying for event funding need to ensure a) Funding has also been applied to other organisations b) A plan detailing how the event will become self-sustaining is to be supplied.

6. To ensure that your project meets the objectives of the BID, please review our business plan: If you can not demonstrate that this will achieve one of the objectives for the fund you are applying from, the application will not be presented to the board. 7. The Board will approve or decline based on suitability with the business plan objectives. In certain circumstances, they may request applicants to attend the board meeting to find out more or reject with feedback to encourage a revised application.

Deadlines:

31st March 2023 – Decision by the end of April 2023

Please note that no applications will be granted funding that intends to deliver activities post-June 2024

Closed Funds: Whitby / Filey / Withernsea / Coastal Marketing / Coastal Support

If your application is approved, you will:

1. Receive a letter of instruction, and the contract will be issued to cover the release of funds.

2. Agree upon set review dates with instructions on how the funds will be released.

3. Agree that all accompanying receipts/invoices have been submitted at various stages before funding is released to ensure that funding has been used correctly and in line with the original application.

4. All applicants who receive funding are to provide a post-project evaluation no later than 60 days after the activity is concluded.

Event organisers: Additional information about how the activity will be rescheduled if COVID-19 restrictions resume is required.

Over the past five years, we have opened ourselves up to provide groups and organisations an opportunity to apply for funding, to assist us in delivering a wide variety of events and initiatives up and down the Yorkshire Coast.

We are now in the final stages of out first term and thank all of our partners, past and present and can confirm that we are no longer taking applications as funds have been allocated.

Should we find that we have excess funds in the next couple of months we will then contact those who have issued an expression of interest, but all funding must be allocated and delivered pre-July 31st 2024.
