The Event
Scalby Fair is proud to be one of the few remaining Village Fairs in the North of England. It provides a week-long festival of entertainment and fun, culminating in a large village street fair with over 50 stalls, music, dancing, and children’s entertainment.
The first fair took place in 1977 as part of the Jubilee celebrations. Fast-forward to today, and it attracts over 3,000 visitors to the area and is a well-loved event by both visitors and locals alike. It has a real sense of community spirit, and we are delighted to provide funding to enable it to thrive throughout 2023/24.
