This September 11th, the Super Soapbox Challenge will arrive in the heart of Bridlington, with over 20 soapbox creators ready to take on the course.
The event will start on South Marine Drive before soap boxers take the hairpin turn and finish on the South Bay Promenade.
The event is taking place between 10 am – 5 pm with a flag start at 11am and trophies given out to the following at 5pm:
- Overall winner
- Second place
- Third Place
- Overall most innovative cart design
- Best turned-out Soapbox crew
- Main sponsor’s choice award
- Joker of the day
The South Marine Drive will be closed from the 10th at 7 am until the 11th at midnight to ensure that visitor and participant safety is maintained throughout the event and set up/de-rig. We have organised secondary parking at Strawberry Fields as an overflow, but all resident access and parking will be maintained off the key streets with marshalls at pre-agreed places.

We are also pleased to confirm that East Riding of Yorkshire Council has confirmed their involvement and becoming a sponsor, using the opportunity to also promote the Bridlington Bay Lobster Capital of Europe branding.
