We are so excited to share the news that we will again be funding Whitby Ice Rink in 2022.
In 2021/22 the event attracted almost 5,500 skaters, with many more visitors and received excellent feedback. Exposure for the event was brilliant and featured twice on BBC TV, and was covered by ‘The I’ newspaper and Prima. Creating the school’s programme was also a big success with over 700 pupils enjoying a subsidised skate session.
The rink is 60% bigger this year and will be open 31 days meaning extra sessions are available for a possible 17,360 skaters and the rink has a capacity of 80 skaters (50 last year).
The rink is in the centre of town at Endeavor Wharf and staged in a large marquee so that the rink stays open in inclement weather. Tickets are on sale now and the rink will be opening at 10 am on 2nd December 2022 and closing at 8 pm on January 2nd 2023.
