This month the Old Parcels Office Artspace is hosting an exhibition of work by Leeds Fine Artists.  Established in 1874, the group now draws its membership from across the whole of the Yorkshire Region.  The association currently has over fifty exhibiting members, including a number of Scarborough-based artists.

Rob Moore, Trustee of the Old Parcels Office and curator of the exhibition said, “We are delighted to be hosting this exhibition of work by the Leeds Fine Artists, which includes 2 large-scale works by the well-known local artist Sally Gatie who has her studio at Woodend in Scarborough.

LFA member Roger Gardner who is helping to organise the exhibition, said, “The group regularly exhibits across the Yorkshire Region, but this is the first time in my memory that the group has exhibited in Scarborough.”

This latest exhibition builds on our ongoing support to Scarborough Studios, who have successfully brought new and contemporary exhibitions to Scarborough in the once-disused parcels office building located at Scarborough Train Station.
