November saw Scarborough Restaurant Week return for the second time in 2022 and was a bit hit with diners and hospitality businesses alike. Strong growth was noted from the previous event in March, and we saw an incredible amount of interest from the press with 19 pieces of coverage with a combined reach of over 3.5 million people!

Here is a selection of the coverage if you would like to read more:

BBC Radio York travelled over to do live interviews, and we also hosted a small group of journalists as they tasted the incredible food at Embers Restaurant, Cafe Fish and Palm Court Hotel and all remarked on the quality and diversity of food that Scarborough has to offer.

The Scarborough Restaurant Week team worked hard to spotlight each participating business, posting a total of 88 social media posts that reached almost 47,000 people. Diners responded again, and we saw a total of 1849 vouchers downloaded to use in our superb hospitality businesses in and around the town on a very quiet week in November.

For this event we also offered 10 participating BID businesses free, professional food photography to enhance their offering whilst providing high quality assets to use on their own social and website channels.

A ‘Restaurant Week Wash-Up’ pop-in event is planned for the end of January 2023, where businesses can come along to find out more, give their feedback if they participated and understand how to engineer their offers for forthcoming events. Firm dates will be confirmed in January’s newsletter.
