Roaring into Bridlington during 10th – 12th May, Race The Waves is celebrating the 100th Anniversary since the final ‘Bridlington Speed Trials’ took place in 1924 with two days of full throttle action that is sure to draw huge crowds from all over the UK.

Here’s a run down of the weekend programme.

Thursday 9th May

10.00-15.00: Yesteryears Day, Burton Fleming Village Hall. Pre-event social gathering with Interview opportunities. The Beach-Race organisers along with a few participants and their vehicles will be in attendance. The day will be supported by various items of rural machinery and refreshments are available in the Village Hall.

16.30: The Bridlington Classic Car Club, invites interest to their vehicle gathering at the Flamborough Lighthouse.

 

Friday 10th May

10.00 – 17.00: Technical Inspections of the Beach-Race vehicles performed at Church Green. (Please note: there will be a suspension of parking and a road closure in place at Church Green from 07.00 – 19.00)

 

Saturday 11th May

From 10.30: (timing subject to the beach condition) The Beach-Race

10.00 – 16.00 Bridlington Lions Auto-Show, South Marine Drive.

10.00 – 16.00: Steampunk Emporium in the Royal Hall within The Spa.

19.00: An evening with Ed Tudor Pole; The Spa (admission by ticket).

Sunday 12th May

From 11.00: (timing subject to the beach condition) The Beach-Race

10.00 – 16.00 Bridlington Lions Auto-Show, South Marine Drive.

10.00 – 16.00: Steampunk Emporium in the Royal Hall within The Spa.

Bridlington Food Festival, King Street.
