This month the Odyssey returns to Hornsea with a new event ‘Land of the Cyclops’ – inspired by the island where Odysseus has to use his wits to escape the deadly one-eyed cyclops and a host of other monsters of the deep. Featuring a giant cyclops puppet on walkabout in Hall Garth Park; brightly coloured sea monsters and fun-packed creative family activities it’s sure to draw a great audience.

Happening on Saturday 29th April with a number of free activities and entertainment for families which will be taking place in Hall Garth Park and the Town Hall: Storytelling performances with ’The Cloud Collector’ A giant Cyclops puppet on walkabout Face Painting Balloon Modelling Giant Colouring Art Activities Plus some of the gigantic monsters from Odysseus’ epic journey on display in Hall Garth Park, including the mighty Kraken and Sea Dragon.

Look out for the Cyclops Trail in windows around the town and at Hornsea Freeport in the week leading up to the event which will feature a whole gang of brightly coloured cyclops cartoon images in the windows of businesses across the town and Freeport areas. As usual, Odyssey events are free admission with no need to book.
