We are delighted to announce we are continuing to fund the successful Whitby Haven project delivered by the amazing team at Whitby In Bloom for a third year running.
Since 2020 the project has created planters, wall baskets and lamp post baskets around the town creating not only colour and interest but also providing an essential environmental benefit through the creation of pollination highways throughout Whitby.
Areas including New Quay Road, the railway station carpark, Pier Road on the bandstand and Pavillion Carpark to name a few have benefitted from beautiful displays of flowers grown by the team and cared for by ‘Town Caretaker’.
Funding in 2022 will see the continuation of their good work and expansion of a further 18 planters for the Queen Elizabeth Garden which is to be refurbished for her Platinum Jubilee.
