Earlier in the year, we commissioned the next piece to form the Coastal Sculpture Collection in collaboration with local sculptor Emma Stothard. The sculpture is a large-scale, intricately woven piece inspired by a piece from the Hornsea Pottery collection, made in two parts.

Work is progressing well, and we are now finalising plans for the landscaping element of the location, which will overlook the seafront on the northern corner of the South Promenade.

It is important that the sculpture can be enjoyed by all, and the area will be landscaped to ensure it has accessibility front of mind while creating a wildlife haven for the different species native to the area.

Here is a reminder of the inspiration, design and current status of the piece, and we will continue to provide updates when we have a confirmed installation date.
