Following the growth and success of Big Ideas by the Sea in 2023, we are pleased to confirm funding again for this year.

It will take place between the 17th – 31st of May with an ever-ambitious calendar of events that last year attracted over 4,700 attendees and at the supporting event “The Big Dig” an impressive 2,085 visitors and 2,000 cups of coffee sold!

We are continuing the funding because the organisers have found match funding to complement the funding we provide, and it has continued to evolve with new and different speakers every year.  They have also created a hub for the event in a non-traditional event space, St Mary Church, which is a great gateway location to the town centre and seafront and only a stone’s throw from Scarborough Castle.

The Scarborough Fund will provide up to £25,000, and this is ring-fenced to assist with the operational delivery of the event and marketing.
