Scarborough Community Fair Set To Return in 2021

Scarborough Cavaliers Rotary Club is once again organising the town’s Community Fair, which this year will take place on Saturday, August 14, from 10.00 am along Westborough.

Sadly the Fair, which had been held every year in the town since 1999, had to be cancelled in 2020 owing to Covid-19.

This year the Rotary Club are also looking to build on the success of previous years, thanks to the support of the BID by providing street entertainment as a bonus for shoppers.

The Mayor has been invited to judge the “best-dressed stall”, which allows the stallholders to be creative and inventive with their table displays.

It is always a real treat on the day to see what the stallholders do to attract visitors to their stalls, from terrific tombolas, riotous raffles, to colourful cakes and marvellous marmalades.

Several stallholders also appear in themed fancy dress that adds to the entertainment and the spectacle.
