The Scarborough Stories Finale performances took place across the town centre between 7th – 9th July 2022.

These performances were real stories, delivered bravely by non-performers, the people who live and work here in Scarborough and were a result of 18 months worth of engagement with businesses, residents and community groups, culminating in 10 unique performances about what it truly means to them, to live in Scarborough.

The events took place in non-traditional venues such as the Crescent Gardens, Woodend, hotels, cafes and the SJT which really added to the impact of the different stories told.

This project has been delivered by ARCADE  and for them to be able to coach and develop these non-performers into feeling confident and inspired to be able to share very personal opinions and stories of their life here in the town was a credit to them.

There is still an opportunity to experience the performances even if you missed the show, listen to recordings of the stories and learn more about our storytellers here

If you didn’t manage to attend the Storytelling for your Business Workshop, the team have created a great resource document: Storytelling for your business (2) or alternatively you can listen to the audio from the event here. You’ll find brilliant pointers and advice to help understand how storytelling fits into business and how to harness it to enhance both the personality of your business and maximise your advertising campaigns using images, videos, social and more.
