Local Authorities have now received information from the government and will be contacting businesses who are eligible to claim the grants which have been made available to help support them during this time.
We have detailed information from each council below including how you will be contacted if you are eligible and when these grants could begin to be released to businesses.
Scarborough Borough Council
It is anticipated that the funding will be made available for payment from 1 April 2020 and we aim to make payments in line with this timescale where possible to do so.
Scarborough Borough Council will contact all affected businesses in the coming days to set out the information required to process the grants. To allow us to direct all of our staffing resources to the priority task and get payments made as quickly as we can please do not call us to discuss the grants.

We have issued letters dated 19 March 2020 to affected businesses, requesting them to provide payment details. This is not a scam. Collecting these details is essential to allow payments to be made once we have received guidance from central government as to how this scheme will be administered.
